Anyhow, as I mentioned on Twitter, it would be very hard for a person who doesn’t know about or care about baseball to be in a relationship with me. I have Asperger’s, which means that my special interests are extremely important to my life and existence. For someone who doesn’t share my special interests with me, being in a relationship with me might make you feel tossed to the side quite a bit in favor of my special interests. People with Asperger’s are described sometimes as people who “care about things more than people,” and whilst I certainly care about people I think it would be difficult for me to be in a relationship with someone that I didn’t share my special interests with. I think it would be even more trying for the other person, however.
