Here’s an updated ‘about me’ since there’ve been some changes since I last wrote one!
I’m Steph. I’m a recent graduate of Gettysburg College who majored in history and minored in Civil War Era Studies. My goal in life is to write historical graphic novels to help make history fun for people. A few vitals:
- I’m 5’2” and can still fit into children’s extra-large clothing.
- I LIVE for baseball. I write for Aerys Sports, covering the Orioles, Stanford baseball, and the MLB Draft. Soon, I’ll be one of the writers for the Red Sox site, as well.
- I love my cats. I have four. The youngest, Murphy, was named after Daniel Murphy of the New York Mets. The cat in my photo is the oldest and the only girl, Mittens.
- The Red Sox and Mets are my first two teams, but I’ve got a soft spot for the Orioles because Camden Yards is only an hour and a half away from where I attended college.
- I’m a nerd. I like manga and anime, history, science, my Giant Microbes, statistics, Star Wars, video games, and documentaries. I’ve been watching documentaries on astronomy and paleontology since I was four.
- In terms of manga and anime, Ookiku Furikabutte is my all-time favorite. It captures baseball so genuinely. That and Junta is adorable.
- I roleplay Takase Junta on Twitter because he’s a dork and loves catchers.
- Jed Lowrie is my favorite person in the entire world. For lots of reasons.
- I have Asperger’s syndrome, which means I’m mildly autistic and I have trouble interacting in person. The computer makes that a lot easier for me.
- I’m single. And looking. So if you’re a single boy who likes history and baseball, feel free to chat me up!
