The views expressed here are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Aerys Sports.

Steph is a 2011 graduate of Gettysburg College (majored in history, minored in Civil War Era studies) and current graduate student at Pratt Institute (library science with a focus in Archival Studies) who loves baseball, anime, writing, drawing, Rogue Squadron, cars (and Top Gear), comedy (especially its history and, naturally, the British variety) and her cats and Old English Sheepdogs. Fond of Stanford even though she doesn't go there. Has Asperger's syndrome, a mild form of autism. Created the 30-Day Baseball Meme. One time she made a music video about Buster Keaton's love affair with trains. Since she's an archivist-in-training, she often preserves things on her own. See her scans here.

Author of the webcomic The Historians, the excuse to draw dead comedians called Comedian Heaven, and Londinium, a novel in the making set in 1863 London. Scriptwriter for the webcomic Home By Now, a story about time travel, music, history and general hijinks (meet the incredible artist here!).

Very occasionally posts about herself when she's not posting about baseball, dead people, Top Gear or her pets.

moe-hunter:

oh

both work.

You guys have no idea how perfect Shingo is as a representative of Tumblr. Seriously. HE IS THE FANDOM BICYCLIST, AFTER ALL. Not bicycle, bicyclist. They ride bicycles.

genmitsuni:

The fact that Yama-chan recognizes everyone’s scent is kind of disturbing. But then again, it’s also very him.

BEST SUB-CAPTAINS EVER. SERIOUSLY.

SOME OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE EVER

…Junta would turn his son into a servant, wouldn’t he? (Your husband’s going to be all over you for bad parenting, Jun.)

Also, Shingo is still really hot.

My favorite sub-captains ever. Especially since they’re both professional trolls (with Motoyan).

Tosei players, being so cute!

(if you click the Pixiv link, you’ll find a picture of Junta and Kazu being so adorable together!)

FDHFJDHFDGSDG OH MY GOD THIS IS SO FLAWLESS

I also like this one from about two seconds later because Shingo looks like he’s trying to predict the future.

Give Kazu the winning lotto numbers so he and Junta can afford a wedding license, okay?

Obligatory Tosei screenshot because I’m in the mood (and Class 3-6 has two really awesome people in it).

Please don’t be disturbed by the length of this list. It will be long. I can say that without even writing it.

  • Junta and Kazuki (besides being obviously and hopelessly in love with each other) act like they’re married in real life - specifically, married with children. They treat Riou as their son. A lot of this stems from the fact that Kazuki became aware of how Roka treated Riou and he wanted him to have better older sibling figures (he and Junta both being the oldest siblings in their families). As time went on, Riou became their ‘son.’
  • Motoyama Yuji (first baseman with extremely stylish hair, for those unaware) is an aspiring mangaka. When he’s not playing baseball, he’s writing doujinshi in his school’s comics club and hoping to sell it at Comiket. As a result, he’s become a really good cartoonist and enjoys caricaturing his teammates.
  • Mashiba Jin loves animals to death and will likely grow up to be a veterinarian.
  • Motoyan and Yama-chan have known each other since kindergarten and are best friends.
  • Shingo, aside from being Oofuri’s Universal Seme, is going to be the best man at Junta and Kazuki’s actual wedding.
  • I am also convinced that Shingo is pansexual.
  • Matsunaga Masaya (Masayan; LF) has the shortest temper on the team, which makes him a frequent target of Motoyan and Yama-chan’s antics. And they have a lot of antics.
  • The team is convinced that this song is about Maekawa (Maechin; RF).
  • Motoyan is one of those people who learns the dances to music videos and memes and performs them in real life, then uploads them to the internet. (Like this.)
  • Junta is extremely impressionable - which naturally means he can be made to find things funny that aren’t actually that funny if people describe them to him in the right way. Actually, he really just finds most things funny. He really has the most perfect sense of humor in the entire world.
  • Most of the team, like most Saitama residents, are Seibu Lions fans, but Kazuki follows the Yakult Swallows because growing up his role model was Atsuya Furuta. (As an addendum to this, a batterymate of Furuta’s, Yakult closer Shingo Takatsu, was a sinkerballer. Kazuki replicated this by marrying Junta.)
  • Take enjoys crappy reality shows, but refuses to admit this to anyone else. They all know anyway.

I know I have more, but it’s late and I’ve literally been sportswriting from the moment I got up today, so I may have to add more later when I remember them…

Junta is like ‘ooooh, someone is taking a picture’.

ALL MY FAVORITE PEOPLE.

bigdots:

This is Jin from Tosei and…someone.  Shingo?  I’m not really sure.  But it’s pretty.

Definitely Shingo, since people ship Shingo/Jin pretty frequently in Toseiland. (It’s a strangely cute pairing, actually, given that the fandom depicts Shingo as, well, as Iyarashingo and Jin as this adorably innocent figure that Shingo ironically looks after despite being Shingo.)

Omg it’s not the Meoto yaaaay!

I throw a joint birthday party for these three every year because their birthdays all fall within the span of one week.

I have problems, I know. Specifically, I have a Tosei addiction. Although I don’t particularly consider that a ‘problem,’ so…yeah.

Yeah, it’s his birthday. So you should wish him a happy one because he’s amazing.
