Tomorrow’s art-ing will involve the ask blogs. I’ve got

Of course, if you’re up for an art trade, too, just let me know! Since I’m doing ask blogs on my self-designated Ask Blog Tuesday, I’m going to spend the rest of the evening working on my character design project sponsored* by Seventh Sanctum.

*By ‘sponsored’ I mean ‘I generated a bunch of character designs on Seventh Sanctum and dared myself to draw all 100 of them.’

I’m also thinking of starting to get to work on updates of The Historians early, especially given that I’ll be at AnimeNEXT in less than two weeks and really won’t have much time to draw the page at the normal time. If I go ahead and do a few of them in a row, then schedule them to update, I’ll have a lot less stress on me, that’s for sure!

…but I’m lazy.

Everything’s done over there for now! Now I’ve got five more questions for Ask Rogue Squadron to handle…it seems my work is never done over there!

I’ve got two more there:

  • One regarding Daniel Butterfield, the composer of TAPS
  • One regarding books on Cold War espionage

I’ve also got four over at Ask Rogue Squadron, but those take considerably less research to do, so those’ll be done quickly. I’m thinking I can finish these all tomorrow since none of them are splash page thingies. Yay!

I really enjoy doing these. It’s silly, but I really do.

I had to go and be an actual historian and squeeze in a ton of things and not just be all “PROHIBITION ENDED AND PEOPLE WERE LIKE YAY!”

I’ve also got one new question for the folks over at Ask The Historians to answer now, too, so in the end, the status quo is the same:

Also, I get to perform my weekly ritual of reinstalling my scanner again, so even the splash page I’m doing right now probably won’t be online until tomorrow anyway. Ack. Sorry, everyone, I’m going as fast as I can!

So I’ll be working on ask blogs!

I don’t think that’s too bad…

Apparently when I’m bored I create German racecar drivers.

Yep.

He doesn’t even have a name or anything, but I know this is because I looked up the silly names Sebastian Vettel gives his F1 cars earlier this afternoon.

But there it is.

Those are also the new bios for the cast page on the actual site.

I will now proceed to collapse with exhaustion. Any questions that these folks are asked will be answered this week - Tuesdays are generally the day I start working on ask blogs for the week.

They’re still finishing setting up their Tumblr, but that doesn’t mean you can’t consult them on your history assignments.

Alternatively, if you’re interested in a career in history, you can ask them about that, too!

(Feel free to reblog this since we do genuinely want to help people like history and stuff…)

Remember when I did this?

I’m suddenly tempted to do it again. Yeah.

Those are a bunch of my friends’ original characters that I decided to draw all together in one big picture for no reason other than the fact that I enjoy drawing other people’s characters almost as much as I enjoy drawing my own.

If you want to be in the second edition of this (or commission me to draw your entire cast in one image like this or something), let me know! (You can reply to this post, reblog this post, or find some other way to let me know who you want me to draw…)

I didn’t minor in this war in college for nothing, I guess.

Tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of my graduation from Gettysburg, by the way. (This year’s commencement was yesterday.)

Armo is from Finland, where it gets quite cold in the winter, so he has lots of things to keep his head warm.

Also, because of Armo I’m becoming fascinated with Finland’s history again. I haven’t been this into it since I was on my huge LOTR kick years ago and was learning about it because Tolkien drew a lot of inspiration from its culture and history for his Elvish cultures and languages (especially Quenya).

I have issues. I know I do. But this is going to be super-fun and I don’t care.

YOU CAN NOW SPONSOR THESE LOSERS!

Seriously. If you have a webcomic and it has a logo of any sort/you design a logo, it can go on these folks’ cars and coveralls. For free.

That’s free advertising for you and my main characters and their racing team have “sponsors!” We all win!

Let me know if you want your story/webcomic/project included!
