Steph is a 2011 graduate of Gettysburg College (majored in history, minored in Civil War Era studies) and current graduate student at Pratt Institute (library science with a focus in Archival Studies) who loves baseball, anime, writing, drawing, Rogue Squadron, cars (and Top Gear), comedy (especially its history and, naturally, the British variety) and her cats and Old English Sheepdogs. I used to volunteer at a shelter and they…weren’t the best at naming cats. We had kittens come in as litters and each litter got a theme. One of those litters was legitimately named after PAINT BRANDS and contained kittens with the following names:
- Benjamin Moore
- Dutch Boy
- Behr
- Sherwin-Williams
…so I rest my case, but here’s an extra tidbit. We left Tony there for a while whilst he got his shots and whatnot before taking him home, and since we’d found him in a Barnes and Noble parking lot they were calling him Noble. THIS CAT IS AFRAID OF PAPER. HE IS NOT NOBLE. He scares HIMSELF by knocking paper off of the island in the kitchen.

New Jersey has voted to legalize gay marriage! To celebrate, here is a photo of my gay cat, Tony. I’ve been his straight ally for over five years now (it’ll be six in October).

I’ve been a straight ally since high school to many of my friends, and I think it’s time to help out one more of them, one who is extremely close to my heart. On the 11th of October, I am going to stand up for Tony, my third cat, who is gay. I absolutely adore this cat, and he, along with the Central Park Zoo penguins and many animals, is proof that homosexuality is natural and perfectly normal. So help me support Tony and LGBT humans and animals everywhere!
